Do you really want to hear God speak?

We dedicated this past weekend to listen to God.

I walked away with a startling question, “Do I really want to hear what God has to say when He speaks?”

  • Jeremiah did and it meant a life-time of ministry without any positive results.
  • Ruth did and it meant leaving everything she knew.
  • Jesus did and it meant being nailed to a cross.
  • Jonah did…or at least the second time he did…and it meant seeing his enemies repent.
  • Mary did and it meant seeing her son’s blood spilt out for the world to see.

God does speak.

Do we want to listen?

Check out an amazing sermon on this subject.

And post your comment to these questions:

Do you really want to hear God speak?

What did God tell you the last time He spoke?

I’ll be posting more very shortly on what God told us when He spoke…

God told me that I would be engaged to a woman I had just started talking to in exactly 5 months – on her 30th birthday – it was so crazy I had to pray for confirmation – and got it in 3 undeniable back to back ways. He was telling her that we would be married too!

I want to hear God speak, but I’m afraid of what He will say. Thus the need for noise in my life. I try and be quiet and hear that still small voice, but………….lately I just want noise!

      Thanks for your honesty Mitz.
