Very few people I know have the dedication of Marc Andre when it comes to investing in your dreams. He exhibits what John Maxwell calls – The Law of Sacrifice (in order to go up you need to give up). Recently, I sat down with Marc and asked him some questions about his new project.- How would you describe your new project Snapshots of the Shattered Soul?
A collection of real life snapshots, this project touches on issues of depression, addiction, self-esteem, materialism, and fractured relationships. A dynamic journey of music and emotion carried by piano, haunting strings, and driving guitars.
- What other artists would you compare your music to?
My music is a smash-up, carrying the piano influences of Coldplay, The Fray, Mercy Me and Casting Crowns… all mixed with the guitar edge of Daughtry, Lifehouse and Switchfoot. The lyrics are deep, honest, and are dense with word pictures.
- Are you playing any shows?
Yes. We had the opportunity to open for Rush of Fools in Norwalk, OH on October 8th and recently kicked off the new album with a CD release party in Worthington, OH. We are currently lining up shows for our fall schedule.
- Is your album available for sale on iTunes?
Yes, you can buy a download of the new album on iTunes here. You can also purchase a physical CD from CDbaby.com here. To learn more about Marc, his music and upcoming shows, visit http://www.marcandremusic.com
Post interview, I leave you (the reader) with 3 questions to consider in light of your dreams:
- What are you willing to sacrifice to achieve your dreams?
- How do you know if your dreams are worthy of pursuing?
- What is the life cycle of a dream?
