Is it more about you or your team?
Posted under leadership
Brett Farve.
He’s in the news.
Again.
Says he about “the team.”
I must ask, “Which one this time Brett?”
Growing up I loved this guy…like the rest of Wisconsin.
Problem is he should have left respectfully when he could.
Now his true character is being revealed in front of the watching world.
So within your business, organization, or church….I must ask.
Is it more about you or your team?
When a leader needs her position in the organization more than the organization needs her than something is desperately wrong with the leader.
You are more than the position than you hold.
So…would you be willing to leave your position if it were best for the team?
How do you know?
When do you know?
Sincerely ask the rest of the team.
That is only IF you really want to know.

Good post and good questions Kary. About 6 months ago I told God exactly what you are asking. Things were going better than they had ever had in my life in ministry when I told Him that if He wanted me to leave I was willing to do so. Part of it was my grandson who lives in Powell and some of it was that I wanted to be able to be an Abraham. Things have turned “rough” right now and it still stands but I have the assurance that if I did leave it was birthed when things were going very well.
When do I know? I can’t answer that. It was just an inner “feeling” that wouldn’t leave me alone.
So glad and inspired that you did this type of soul-seaching. Blessings on your journey.
