Are you a Digital Disciple?

Posted by Kary Oberbrunner | Posted in Faith and Culture, marketing, podcast, technology | Posted on 04-03-2009

gabetavianoMy buddy, Gabe Taviano of Gods Mac started Digital Disciples. It was a huge dream of his-to blend free technology training with evangelism-and I’m thrilled to see it off the ground. I’ll be supporting his dream by speaking at the next gathering on Thursday night. Why not be a digital disciple, if only for one night?

What is Digital Disciples?

A monthly gathering where area churches and the public would be freely invited to an evening of technology training, followed by a time of Bible study, prayer and fellowship. The evening will consist of a variety of 2-3 sessions which the individual could choose from, lasting for approximately 60-90 minutes. Each would cover a different area of technology (basic computing, graphic and web design, audio and video, photography, networking, programming, search-engine optimization, etc.). Once the sessions are over everyone would meet up together for a time of Bible study, reflection and prayer.

2009march

Let’s give some props to God and our disciplers. I’d love to hear the name of one person who discipled you and why you chose to follow him/her?

Me? Carl Muenzmaier. He was authentic about God AND his emotions.

New Podcast Episode – The Transformists!

Posted by Kary Oberbrunner | Posted in Grace Church, podcast | Posted on 03-12-2008

My message from last Sunday at my church. Here was my SERMON IN A SENTENCE. “The true people of God are marked by transformed hearts.” My text was Romans 2:25-29. Paul uses circumcision a number of times in the passage. Time to get creative since it was “Thanksgiving” weekend. The topic of circumcision raises a few eyebrows from out-of-town family members in for the holiday. Don’t worry. We had a great time.
