Plenty of updates coming soon.
If you like the community feel of this blog and the content then I encourage you to tell your friends, especially in the next couple days.
Why?
Because here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming soon:
How do you share this blog with your friends?
Kristine, a sweet blogger in her own right, is holding a contest now until October 23.
It’s super easy to win and you get a free copy of The Fine Line.
It takes 30 seconds.
Tell your friends.

Of course none of us would agree with that statement. (Right?)
Yet for many of us, it’s been our experience.
My friend Anne Jackson is pulling the covers back on that phenomenon.
She’s doing it with your help.
Her new book, Permission to Speak Freely: Essays and Art on Fear, Confession and Grace will be releasing next summer via Thomas Nelson. What makes this project so cool is that it’s not just a book – it’s a collection of art as well as poetry, essays, etc. on (well, what the subtitle implies) Fear, Confession and Grace.
She’s asking people online to send in their “confession” – something they feel they are afraid to talk about in the church. The website for this project went live today!
You can visit it to get a feel for the project as well as see some of the confessions that have already been sent in. There are also free studies for adults, students & young adults with a video to go with them…all free for anyone to use.
My advice?
Check it out and start to speak freely.
We’re the church after all and nothing is stopping us from being honest. (Except our own fear of other people.)
Chances are you know someone right now who is struggling with walking The Fine Line of being in the world and not of it.
Think about who that person is…
A friend?
Co-worker?
Spouse?
Child?
Teacher?
Grandchild?
Grandparent?
Pastor?
Uncle?
Niece?
Barista?
Email them this chapter free.
Seriously, right now. Just press the little FORWARD button.
I think it will help.
They may thank you.
Or give you a free coffee back.
A reader sent this pic to me.

Don’t know if I should be happy the dog “consumed” the book?
Or should I be upset the dog was telling me The Fine Line offended her?

Not sure if Bella was trying to dig in.. or find that fine red line… good thing I also have the audio book.
On vacation recently with the family.
Stopped in at a couple bookstores.
Hages and Family Christian Bookstores.
Both had The Fine Line on their end caps (alongside some other sweet books).
Thanks readers for spreading the word so that stores have to stock it.
More free stuff coming your way soon.
Like Episode 37 of the Podcast.
In the meantime, I am finishing editing my next Zondervan book out in 2010.
Thanks for your support and prayers.
