Extended Bio: IGNITING SOULS–it’s my passion. I believe when you’re on fire you have the potential to ignite the world around you. It’s why I founded my company–Redeem the Day–back in 2004.
But I also know the cost of not being on fire. In 2000 I reached my lowest point – a solo pastor in a church, addicted to self-injury (cutting myself) as a way of coping with pain and “making it” through life.
I migrated to a place of isolation and insulation, a place of disconnection from myself, others, and Life itself. But then all that changed.
Drawing upon a Master of Divinity in Counseling and a Doctorate in Transformational Leadership I utilize a holistic approach that helps people get more clarity about who they are, why they are here, and where they should invest their lives. In addition to a rich educational experience, I’ve invested over 15 years of my life working, serving, and leading within non-profits. In these roles, I’ve had the privilege of casting vision, developing leaders, and creating programs that create change.
As a communicator I’ve recorded over 100 TV and radio interviews and written a variety of books on topics related to leadership, faith, and personal transformation, several of which are published by Zondervan/Harper Collins.
Within the academy as an adjunct professor, within the marketplace as a coach/speaker/trainer, and within the church as a teaching pastor, I’ve had the opportunity to share hundreds of seminars, lectures, conferences, and workshops. I serve as a pastor at Grace Church and enjoy helping others discover more about who they were created to be. I love being a husband and father and my wonderful wife Kelly and I feel extremely blessed to have 3 amazing children.
I’m committed to life-long learning and personal development. This is why I chose to become a founding partner on the John Maxwell Team–to help others on their journey. I look forward to connecting with you very soon. In the meantime, enjoy this inspiring thought:
A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.
